Meet the newest Eagles

Preseason for 2019 is underway and we’re already seeing great numbers and effort. With a new rugby year comes a batch of fresh faces, so let’s get to know them – we’ll be adding a new player to this feed every few days over the coming weeks, so stay tuned!

Up first, we welcome young hooker, Lachie Carey.

Son of legendary Eagles coach, Damo, and brother of Brumbies prop, Tom, another Ross joins the ranks.

He’s fit, he’s fast, and he’s a giant. We’re excited to see what this youngster can do in the red and black in 2019! Welcome to the Eagles, Liam!

This young man has bled red and black from a very young age, and in 2019 he makes his return! Welcome back to the Eagles, Joey.

Tamati has arrived in Canberra as a Rugby League convert with a background in Rugby as a junior. Check out his highlights here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kc3noQ7mils&t=77s

Welcome, Tamati!

He’s an absolute giant with 7+ years and plenty of finals experience with the Warringah Rats, we welcome you and the family to the Eagles, Tristan!

Another radiating smile joins the Eagles ranks, what’s better is his blistering pace! Great to see you in the Red & Black, Crowey!

We’re absolutely stoked about this one. Levi is a St. Edmunds 1st XV premiership-winning captain and has plenty of rep footy under his belt. He’s a big unit and will fit right in at the Eagles.

Umm, sorry… Connor who? Never heard of him…

Another Dara youngen with big expectations when it comes to football and headwear! Great to have you around, Matt!

This mountain-like New Zealand junior joins us as a temporary Brumbies contracted player and has stirred plenty of hype among the group! He’s impressed for the Brumbies Runners and will make a great impact on and off the field at the Eagles. Welcome to Canberra, and the Eagles Jahrome!

Another Anau? Awesome! Ben joins us from Eastwood Colts and comes with a serious reputation. We’ve heard he’s lethal with and without the ball. Can’t wait to see him in action!

A Marist 1st XV premiership player and a great young gentleman Tom Tyrell is talked up to be one of the more exciting prospects coming out of the U18’s competition. Welcome to the Eagles, Tom!
